Beginning of an Apocalyptic Year Good day everyone,
I hope you all had a great start to this year. I am glad that these days some of the works suggested by me were featured as Daily Deviations. Of course I was surprised to see that one of my drawings has received a DD too. I tried to answer to all the messages received but I couldn't thank my watchers one by one, so I am doing it here, as always. Thank you all, and if you ever have a question or think that I might help you with something, feel free to ask without thinking twice.

I haven't drawn anything lately but I was lucky enough to find new wonderful works around this site and I am going to feature some of them in this new entry. This time I haven't chosen a theme but I've decided to feature them as a simple tribute to Art. I hope you will like them and hopefully appreciate these interesting artists.

"I am stretched on your grave

If your hands were in mine
I'd be sure they could not sever
My apple tree, my brightness
It's time we were together
For I smell of the earth
And am worn by the weather

When my family thinks
That I'm safely in my bed
From morn until night
I am stretched out at your head
Calling out to the earth
With tears hot and wild
For the loss of the girl
That I loved as a child

The night that we were lost
In the shade of the blackthorn
And the chill of frost
And thanks be to Jesus
We did all that was right
And your maiden head still
Is your pillar of light

The priests and the friars
They approach me in dread
Because I still love you
My love and you're dead
I still would be your shelter
Through rain and through storm
And with you in your cold grave
I cannot sleep warm

So I am stretched on your grave
And will lie there forever
